Differnce Between Varna and CASTE - EXPLAINED

What is Varna? What is Caste (JAthi)?

Varna is not Caste (jAthi). Varna is just 4. Caste is countless.

Iyer, Iyengar are actually brahmin caste.

MP, MLA are actually brahmin Varna.

Vedic scripture says Kshatriya is protector. Defence force.

Brahmana Varna people should direct all rest 3 Varna people..

In B.Gita, Krishna says, "I created 4 Varna".  He never said I created 1000 of caste (jAthi)

People often confuse 4 Varna with 1000 jAthi..

Earlier:

Brahmana Varna was mostly governed by Vedic scholars who are disinterested in Wealth and inclined to spiritual growth.

Brahmana Varna people guided defence force, employer, employee with what is dharma (righteousness) according to Vedic scriptures..  everyone followed them.

Today:

Brahmana Varna is mostly governed by MLA, MP who are expected to guided defence force, employer, employee with what is dharma (righteousness) according to legislation..  everyone follows what is agreed and approved What is Varna? What is Caste (JAthi)?

Varna is not Caste (jAthi). Varna is just 4. Caste is countless.

Iyer, Iyengar are in brahmin caste.

MP, MLA are in brahmin Varna.

Vedic scripture says Kshatriya is protector. Defence force.

People in Brahmana Varna, are expected to teach/direct rest of people in other 3 varna.

In B.Gita, Krishna says, "I created 4 Varna (shades of people)".  He never said "I created 1000 of caste (jAthi)"

People often confuse 4 Varna with 1000s of jAthi..

Earlier:

Brahmana Varna was mostly governed by Vedic scholars who are disinterested in Wealth and inclined to spiritual growth.

These people in Brahmana Varna, guided 'defence force, employer, employee' with what is dharma (righteousness) according to Vedic scriptures..  Everyone followed them and respected the people in Brahmana Varna for their austerity.

Today:

Brahmana Varna is now governed by people who are MLA, MP. These people sit together ans are expected to guide defence force, employer, employee with what is dharma (righteousness) according to legislation..

Everyone follows what is agreed by them and approved by them in assembly..

Politicians often confuse Varna and Caste (jAthi)..

They confuse common people and create hatred speech on Hindus.

They merge What Varna talks about people in brahmana Varna, with Iyer/Iyengar people in Brahmana caste and shouts 'Hindus were kept slave for these Iyer and Iyengar'.

These politicians often do forget, that they are the brahmana Varna people now (with impure minds and selfishness) and have these power to order army & police (Kshatriya), employer (vaisya), employee (sudra) to run a country or state.

Hindus must wake up... To 1St understand this difference..

MLAs and MPs are today's brahmana Varna and Manu smriti talks about strict rules and regulations on these people in brahmana Varna.

People must read Manu smriti and teach these politicians how a brahmana Varna people should behave and acquire true knowledge.

Know your Gotra: Understand your lineage you came from..... Learn about Asita, Devala, Sandilya rishi...gotra

Saṇḍilya gotra (let's know about our rishi and their devotion and their ancestor and lineage)

Asitha rishi's son -> Devala rishi.

Devala rishi's son -> Sandilya rishi

Sandilya is the great grandson of Kashyapa

Asitha rishi:

In ramayana period,

Asita rishi explained the King Janaka about the philosophy of rebirth. (Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa, Chapter 47).

Also,

Asita was a king (later became raja rishi) of the surya dynasty, the son of Bharata, and an ancestor of Rama (avatar of vishnu)

Know about Kashyaba rishi, Asitha (raja rishi) till Rama lineage in valmiki ramayan.

https://www.proudhindudharma.com/2021/03/ram-parampara.html

In Mahabharata period,

Celestial rishi Asitha and his son devala, both participated in sarpa yagya as per the command of janamejeya (great grand son of arjuna). Other celestial rishi who were present are Bhārgava, Kautsa, Jaimini, Sārṅgarava, Piṅgala, Vyāsa, Uddālaka Pramattaka, Śvetaketu, Nārada, Parvata, Ātreya, Kuṇḍajāra, Kālaghāṭs, Vātsya, Kohala, Devaśarmā, Maudgalya, Samasaurabha. (Chapter 53, Ādi Parva, Mahābhārata)

Asita, the sage, got by the blessing of Śiva a son named Devala. (Brahmavaivarta Purāṇa).

Devala rishi:

Devala was the son born to Asita rishi as the result of a boon granted by Śiva

Celestial rishi Devala, once came to kanchipuram and took holy bath in vegavathi (saraswathi river).

That time, a gandharva named "huhu" (musician in swarga loka) entered deep inside the river silently and dragged the muni's feet.

Devala rishi cursed him to become crocodile as he was trying to drag others into river for his mischievous play.

Gandharva begged the devala rishi to pardon him and get back to swarga loka.

Devala said "the day vishnu chakra cut you, you will be released from this curse and will reach your place and form".

After years.. indradhyumna a pandya king who installed vyuha, vibhava, prakriti forms of vishnu (jagannath) in Puri, Odisha (utkala kingdom) which later was known as krishna, balarama, subhadra, got cursed by narada to become elephant when he disrespected his arrival to his palace.

Narada also pardoned him and said he will attain moksha when vishnu appears and save him at distress.

Gajendra moksha happened at same kanchipuram. The lord vishnu appeared as ashta buja perumal (vishnu with 8 weapons with 8 hands) and saved gajendra and cut the crocodile with his chakra.

Thus vishnu made both rishi's words true.

Ashta buja perumal temple is must visit place in kanchipuram where gajendra moksha happened.

Raṃbhā, the heavenly dancer fell in love with devala rishi.

But, Devala did not reciprocrate her love. So, she cursed him to become crooked with 8 bends in body. When he became crooked thus he came to be called Aṣṭāvakra

His curse got removed during krishna avatar.

Devala rishi met Śrī Kṛṣṇa on his way from Dvārakā to Hastināpura after the great war was over and questioned him why he did not stop this war and krishna explained the incidents to devala rishi in detail.

Sandilya rishi:

Sandilya rishi is associated with the Shatapatha Brahmana of the Shukla Yajurveda.

His teachings are in Chandogya Upanishad

Sandilya rishi, who desired to worship Viṣhṇu but not in the Vedic method for which purpose he even wrote a book to propagate non-vedic principles. For the above sinful action he had to live in hell and at last he was born as Jamadagni of the Bhṛgu dynasty. (Vṛddhahārīta smṛti)

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad states that Sandilya rishi was a disciple of Vaatsya rishi. He was also the composer of the Śāṇḍilya Upanishad.

Sandilya Bhaktisūtras (Aphorisms on devotion) are as famous as those of Nārada. He taught bhakti in a scientific way (by Śāṇḍilya science).

Sandilya rishi was instrumental in resolving certain metaphysical doubts of King Parikshit of Hastinapura and King Vajranabha of Dwaraka and he was instrumental to start idol worship of krishna bhakti after krishna avatar completed.

Non-Vedic Brahmin are just name sake Brahmins. Vyasa says .. Let us read Mahabharata

After war got over, Vyasa tells yudhistra on various dharma...

- Vyasa mahabharata

Elephant toy made of wood, animal toy made of skin, brahmin who have not recited veda can just hold the title of elephant, animal, brahmin but will never get any respect out of it.

- Vyasa Mahabharata

Brahmin who don't recite veda are just equivalent to a bird without wings.

Just like how useless it is for an impotent man to merge with a woman,

Just like how useless it is for an cow to merge with another cow,

Like a bird without wings, a Brahmin who does not read the veda will be useless.

- Vyasa Mahabharata

Just like that way, a kernel without grains is useless,

Just like the way, a well without water is useless,

Just like the way, a yagya without fire is useless,

It is useless to donate anything to such person (brahmin who don't recite veda)

- Vyasa Mahabharata

A gift become useless if it is given to such a person who do not offer and perform daily duties on god and pitru.

He is, therefore, like unto a robber (of other people's wealth). He can never succeed in acquiring upper worlds of bliss.

Why hinduism allows Atheist and gives place? Atheist have no place in other religion. Why Veda allows Atheist? Let us understand...

Only Sanathana Dharma (today as hindu) allows a place for atheist as well.

Other man-made religions, do not allow atheist

But,

Veda, like a mother, allows a place for atheist as well, as even atheist also came from supreme creator Narayana (purusha/Brahmam)

At first, a child knows only mother. Mother then shows who is the father.

Veda like our mother, shows our father (vishnu) and other demi gods.

A mother do have multiple children. Some children do respect his father, some due to arrogance disrespect his father.

But for mother, she like to shout at that child who disrespect her husband.

Sameway, like a mother, veda cautions atheist son as fool and cries to know the love of father in below vedic mantra

While we see vedic mantra in taittirīya Upaniṣad, we can understand, Veda (knowledge of Supreme) giving place for athiest.

(asthi brahma ithi cheth vedha)

(santham yenam thatho vidhu: ithi)

(asann yeva sa bavathi)

(asath brahma ithi vedha cheth)

- तैत्तिरीय उपनिषद्  (veda)

Veda, like mother,  says to us...

Child, If you say, 'Supreme Creator exist, (asthi)'

then, O, Goodone! that Bhagavan (God) himself will give you an experience to feel him/see him/realize him that he truly exists.

Child, If you say, 'Bhagavan does not exist (asath) though he truly exist,

then, O Fool! that bhagavan himself will give you an experience as if he don't exist.

Veda (mother) says, vishnu (our father) likes both believer and athiest... but with little frustration.

Hence veda (mother) calls believer as santham (good child) and atheist as asann (foolish child),

Bhagavan/vishnu (father) has given intelligence to humans to think about him/find him in true form. (Animal don't have that intelligence to think his creator)

With this intelligence,

Some human understand that "God exist".

Some believe that "God does not exist".

For Vushnu (Father), its ok.

He accept both views. But feels bad about his atheist son who disrespect him always.

Bhagavan is Like our father.

He have 2 kind of sons (believer and atheist)

Believer respect him.

Atheist don't respect his presence.

As a Father, Bhagavan also don't have hatred of his both sons either..

But,

he happily supports his son who respects him...

In other hand,

He ends up being silent to his foolish son who denies him. But worries more on him.

What's the disadvantage of being atheist?

Veda calls atheist as "asath" (fool).

Both believer and atheist have karma effects.

If you do good deeds, good results will come to you.

If you do bad deeds, bad results will come to you.

So, even being an atheist, you can live happily in this world, if you do good things to people, society etc.

Bhagavan don't curse non believers (atheist) unlike other man-made religion concepts where they say "non believers goto eternal hell".

Veda addresses atheist as, "fool" because, of 2 reasons.

1. If an atheist do bad deeds, and experiencing bad times in his life, God can't intervene and support him.

Its a big loss for non believers..  Hence veda like a mother address atheist as "fool"

For 1000 years, hindus were massacred in their own land by muslim and christian invaders who came from from saudi, turkey, iran, Spain, french, Britain, Dutch, portugal... Wealth looted, knowledge stolen, kings disappeared, brahmins killed, vaishya (business) lost their wealth, temples destroyed, sudra (employee) became poor slaves, imposed heavy tax on vedic god believers, converted lakhs with sword, rape, money..

In 50 years entire civilization of Greek disappeared when christian invasion happened..

But even after 1000 years of 2 violent invaders conquering the land, hindus didnt cease but resurrect and still alive and strong.

Why?

It's because, Vedic God believers, if they face bad times, Vedic Gods pitch in and resurrect and protects the vedic dharma.

Man-made religions were protected by humans. Hence, one day  they bound to disappear, if some other views dominate.

Vedic Sanathana Dharma is directly protected by Supreme Creator himself and hence could not be destroyed despite 1000yrs of conquest of 2 manmade religions

2. Because atheist don't believe in God, any action he/she does, must fall in either good or bad deeds. So atheist with no choice have to face good or bad results for the deeds.

If he/she dies before facings the results for his past deeds, he have to reborn again and again based on karma effects.

Salvation is not at all possible. Hence veda like a mother says "fool".

Salvation (liberation) is possible only if a person don't have either good karma or bad karma.

Those who understand Supreme Creator Vishnu do exists, have 2 benefits..

1. If they face tough times due to some bad deeds in past, bhagavan can reduce the impact or even negate based on devotion of individual.

2. If the believer, surrenders all his actions under the feet of Vishnu, the supreme creator, he/she gets salvation from rebirth by the grace of vishnu by negating his both good and bad deeds.

What is the Age of Abhimanyu when he died? How long Abhimanyu and Uttara lived together? - Let us understand Vyasa Mahabharata

Uttara was pregnant when Abhimanyu went to war. How many years they lived together?

Brahmam, the Supreme Creator (Narayana) created Brahma Deva.  From Brahma's right Chest, appeared Dharma Deva.

Dharma Deva had 8 sons named as generally as Vasu.

One Vasu named "Soma" whose father is Dharma Deva and Mother is Manasvini, had son named "Varchas"

When all the Asura took the form of humans and conquered the Human World (earth), Brahmam (Supreme Creator) decided to incarnate himself as Krishna.

Hearing this news, all Deva started to incarnate themselves in Human Form.

At that time, Soma (one of Vasu) hesitated to let his son "Varchas" to born as Human.

He told the other Devas as following:

- adi parva (vyasa mahabharata)

"My son is dearer to me than all living beings. I will not give him away. You must accept the fate I am about to tell you. I agree that, It is our business to kill the demons incarnated on earth. My son 'Varchas' is going to be born for this. But he will not stay on earth for long.

May he be born as the son of Nara, the consort of Narayana. While he is Young boy, a Great Warrior, O best of Gods! My child will be in the world for only 16 years.

At that age, a great war between us and the Asuras will take place in the world. The Asuras will set up a cycle and fight. My child will roam inside without being able to break the cycle. He will turn his back on the enemies standing there and run away. There alone, my son will will send one-fourth of the asura army to their own city. Many great warrior will join together and fight with him. Finally, i will get him back again in the same evening to my place. He will give this dynasty a valiant son. That son will restore the lost dynasty of Bharata," he said to the other gods

After the end of war, gandhari along with her husband, vyasa, pandava, krishna visits the war zone.

Vyasa gives gandhari divine vision to see things despite she closed her eyes with silk cloth.

At that time, she sees uttara crying over Abimanyu who was killed by multiple warriors at same time.

Uttara cries...

- vyasa Mahabharata (ஸ்திரீ பர்வா)

The union with me in this world had it seems only for 6 months, for in the 7th O hero! You have bereft of life.

Uttara later gave birth a son named "Vishnu RAthan" alias "Parikshit".

Parikshit ruled the entire world with no enemies around, inherited from his grandfather "Yudhistra".

Is being a SERVANT the ONLY way to worship or realize Paramatma? What are the ways of worship?

Is being a SERVANT (Paadha Sevanam) the ONLY way to worship or realize Paramatma?

it is one of the way to worship and realize paramatma..  But not the only way..

There are Gyana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga.

In Gyana Yoga, it talks about 8 Yogic Status to worship and finally realize paramtma at 8th status.

Bharata Yogi was able to achieve success and reached 7th Yogic status, but could not reach the 8th status in his life.

But He fall down in affection on a deer and left his holy body thinking about that deer instead paramtma. Then he born as deer and died. Then again he got human birth and lived in 8th status (Samadhi) from the moment he born and achieved moksha.

In Bhakti Yoga, Being a Servant (Paadha Sevanam) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

Prahalad says, there are 9 ways of worship under Bhakti Yoga and realize paramatma. (Note: he followed one of way he narrated)

1. Sravanam (hear) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always likes to hear about Vishnu's quality or his stories 24*7 like parikshit, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

2. Keerthanam (sing/chant) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always likes to chant and sing about Vishnu's quality or his stories 24*7 like Suka Brahma rishi, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

3. Smaranam (Think) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always think about Vishnu's quality or his stories 24*7 like prahalad, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

4. Paadha Sevanam (Service) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always likes to serve at feet of Vishnu without leaving him at any stage 24*7 like lakshmana, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

5. Archana (offer) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always likes to offer flowers, food, wealth etc., to Vishnu at any stage 24*7 like sabari, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

6. Vandanam (Bow down) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always likes to fall at the feet of Vishnu at any stage 24*7 like akrura (who fell down to krishna's feet at his 1st sight in vrindavan despite Vishnu who incarnated as krishna being a 7yr old child), then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

7. Dhaasya (Slave) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who behave like a slave and always obeys the order of Vishnu without hesitation at any stage 24*7 like hanuman, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

8. Sakya (Friend) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who always treat Vishnu like his friend and ready to give up anything for his friend without leaving him at any stage 24*7 like Arjuna, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

9. Atma Nivedhanam (Complete surrender) is one way of worship and realize paramatma.

(if you see a person, who has guts to give up everything and completely surrender his thought, body, mind, wealth, decision etc., at feet of Vishnu without leaving him at any stage 24*7 like Vibhishana, then understand you are seeing a Bhakti Yogi (a true devotee))

That's Sanathana Dharma.

We can choose any one of this 9 bhakthi Yoga and follow any of these great devotee...

The above sloka is said by Valmiki on Bharata readiness to welcome Shri Ram.

Jai Noble Ram   Jai Noble Ram   Jai Noble Ram

Jai Shri Ram   Jai Shri Ram   Jai Shri Ram
