Vedic mantra confirms Narayana is the Supreme Creator from whom brahma, rudra, vasu, etc all came.
He only exist before all.
यो ब्रह्मा ब्रह्मण उज्जहार प्राणैः
शिरः कृत्तिवासाः पिनाकी ।
ईशानो देवः स न आयु: दधातु
तस्मै जुहोमि हविषा घृतेन ॥
आयुष्य सूक्तम् - Ayushya Suktam (Yajur Veda)
I offer Ghee to that brahmam (Supreme Creator) who created brahmA (brahma deva) thru his energy (praana sakthi) from whose head appeared eswara (shiva) with pinaki bow in his hand, for a healthy long life.
एकः पुरस्तात् य इदं बभूव
यतो बभूव भुवनस्य गोपाः ।
यमप्येति भुवनं सांपराये स नो हविर्घृतमिहायुषेत्तु देवः ॥
वसून् रुद्रान् आदित्यान् मरुतोऽथ साध्यान्
ऋभून् यक्षान् गन्धर्वांश्च पितॄंश्च विश्वान् ।
भृगून् सर्पांश्च आङ्गिरसोऽथ सर्वान्
घृतं हुत्वा स्वायुष्या महयाम शश्वत् ॥

Brahmam (Supreme Creator) who existed all alone (before the creation) brought forth many gods and celestials like the Vasus, the Rudras, the Ädityas, the Maruts, the Sādhyas, the Ṛbhus, Yakṣas, Gandharvas, Pitṛs, Bhṛgus, the Nāgas, the Aṅgirases, to protect and help people in need. I offer ghee as oblation to the Absolute Being, all gods, and celestials and pray for long life.
विष्णो त्वं नो अन्तमश्शर्मयच्छसहन्त्य ।
प्रतेधारा मधुश्च्युत उथ्सं दुह्रते अक्षितम् ॥

O Lord Viṣhṇu! I offer my oblations to You by incessant and melodious chanting of the mantras. Kindly be with us, and bestow upon us, abiding happiness and long life.

O Purusha (para-brahma) ! you are the husband of Lakshmi
